With nervous anticipation, and much excitement, the 1200 pound liner is brought in - with a trackhoe. This 100 feet by 40 feet by 45 mil thick liner is rolled in a special manner to allow us to easily unroll the liner. |

The roll of liner is still a tight fit, being ten feet wide with the pipe in it's center. One part of the pond, at the bridge, is only 12 feet wide and 8 feet at the tracks of the trackhoe. This is just wide enough to get us past... |

We had to back out multiple times and "widen" the pond base before we could finally get the trackhoe into the correct position to start the waterfall construction. |

The problem with the liner was that the forty by one hundred feet of liner had to be properly oriented in the pond to minimize wrinkles and overlaps for the length of the liner - and the liner had to be unfolded for it's total width, placed under the top two waterfall stones and yet kept out of the way of the trackhoe and men. After some of it was unfolded and positioned, the remainder was placed over by the pool and the trackhow was moved out of the way. Remember, it weighted about 1200 pounds! |

The upper pond liner is then draped over the lower pond liner and plenty of padding was placed under and over the liner before the two waterfall stones were "eased" into place. |

You can see the lower pond liner laying to the right in this picture. As well as, all the padding under the stones! We have many more waterfall stones to place. |

Here is another view of the waterfall. |

And seventy feet away is the skimmer box! You can make out the bog area to the left - a rather wide ledge about twenty feet long. The point, to the left, will hold one of the large lava stones as a neat sitting area for watching the fish. |

Nice shot of the upper pond liner in place in back of the first lower waterfall stone. This liner height sets the final water level in the upper pond. After all this was finalized we were about half inch off - lower than I wanted, but acceptable! |
