| You can see the landscape fabric lined boulder wall is beginning to take a turn to the north. Before all this we had removed a mass of yucca plants with roots the size of a man's forearm and three feet in length. After the fact, I found that leaving the tiniest piece of yucca root results in a yucca growing in the wrong place! |

| Laying the flagstone around the pool was basically easy - put down a gravel base, add some sand, lift the stone into place, level, and take a break. But the boulders prove to be harder. Read on! |
